Cyndi's List of genealogy Sites is by far the biggest and best site for genealogy links

Genealogy Search provides specialised searches for family history researchers

Trace your family tree An excellent page by some Arborists ;-)

FamilySearch is the LDS site where one can search the IGI (International Genealogical Index)

RootsWeb is one of the original and best

Ancestry is a more commercial site

Genealogy Mailing Lists provides an easy way to join a mailing list which relates to the area your ancestors came from

Gencircles is one of my favorite matching sites

WorldConnect is the massive RootsWeb and Ancestry online tree

Geneanet is a very powerful matching service

Genserv is the original online matching service

Australian History Links more links than you can poke a stick at

Australasian BDM Exchange an exchange for Australian and New Zealand BDM certs

Sydney Dead Persons Society lists death notices from Sydney Newspapers amongst other things

National Archives of Australia provides online search facilities for their collections

State Library of NSW and the Mitchell Library have an online search facility for some of their collections

NSW State Records holds all of the records related to the early settlement of Australia

NSW Family History Documents subscription is required before one can search, but the site has an impressive list of documents indexed

Claim a Convict this huge site is maintained by Lesley Uebel

Convict Central is maintained by the Perth DPS and has lots of convict info

Convictions Australian Shipping site is invaluable when looking for the ships your ancestors arrived on

Genuki is a must visit site for anyone researching ancestors from the United Kingdom

FreeBMD aims to provide a complete online version of the St Catherine's index

Access to Archives a British PRO site which aims to eventually index all documents held in British Archives Offices

Scotlands People is the official online search site for Scotland's GRO and more.

Origins is the official online search site for Ireland's GRO, searches cost money but they can be very worthwhile

Irish Genealogy is a great site for Irish research

Scottish Documents is an online index of Wills and other family related Scottish documents

Glasgow and West of Scotland Family History Society covers Glasgow and related areas as it's name suggests
