YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH – VERDICT OF MANSLAUGHTER
At the City coroner’s court yesterday, Mr. Hawkins conducted an inquiry into the death of Jane Louisa Farmer, 22, who died at Sydney Hospital on 24th March, 1912.
The Coroner found that the death was due to due a certain mechanical act by a person or persons unknown, and that the said person did feloniously slay the deceased.
As a rider, he remarked that the evidence was most unsatisfactory, although the police had done everything in their power in this respect.
