Misc. Notes
Typhoid fever is still in the neighbourhood
though no fresh cases are reported. The
health officer was instructed some time ago to
report on the matter and to discover if
possible the cause of the fever. A sample of
the water in the Norton Creek, was sent down
to the shire analyst for inspection but was
found to be free from any impurities likely to
foster the germs of typhoid fever. Two cases
of fever in the family of Mr. Burrell of this
district have ended fatally, one daughter
died on the 14th May, and a second daughter
(the wife of Mr. Thos Bird, of Dimboola,) a
few days afterwards leaving an infant a few
months old. The deceased sisters were
members of the Horsham Salvation Army.
Great sympathy if felt for Mr. and Mrs.

Burrell.
