My connection is Harriet De Vere Hunt who married my ancestor Patrick Baragry in Tipperary, probably early 1820's. All of their children came out to Australia. Have you been able to obtain any info on the family in Ireland? I would be very keen to see if there was a connection. Here is a link that may be useful to you:


Arrived in the Benalla area around 1865 according to the 1902 article which says he lived in the area for 34 years 37 years in another article in the Dookie and Katamite recorder

MR. PATRICK BARAGRY.
The friends of Mr. Patrick Baragry
will regret to learn of his death, which,
after an illness of thirteen months,
took place at "Coonara" private hospital,
St. Kildarroad, on October 20th.
Deceased was born at Boherdota,
County Limerick, Ireland. He had
reached the age of 83 years. He was
one of the first settlers in Dookie district.
His wife predeceased him some
six years ago. He leaves four daughters
to mourn their loss. The remains
were interred in Coburg Cemetery.
Rev. J. H. O'Grady, assisted by Rev.
J. P. O'Connell, officiated at the graveside.
